A Message from the Designer

I have always been a “design guy.” I remember my peers in first grade boasting that they would become firemen, doctors, and nurses. They singled me out as the future artist with a finger jab to my sternum. I saw it as a compliment. Being a self-proclaimed “design guy” can be all-consuming — and a curse! As I go through the world I'm constantly moved to redesign and improve everything I see. Do you know how hard it is to drive down the highway and not want to redesign the tail lights on the cars in front of you? 

Upon graduation from RIT, where I majored in Graphic Design, I moved to NYC. After working at several great design firms I became a Creative Director and partner at a marketing agency. Outside my 2-dimensional world of advertising campaigns and corporate collateral, my passion for design of all types filled my sketchbooks with invention ideas for the 3-dimensional world. 

I marvel at products that combine beauty with functionality. If something touches our lives daily should it not bring us joy? So many products have already been designed. But can they be interpreted differently? Can improvements be made to their form and function?
